And Slowly, Slowly...

Spring sneaks in without fanfare.
The days are longer,
The wind blows warmer.
The snowdrops are drooping,
They bent unnoticed
In the snow cover of February.
But this week's the week of the crocus,
poking their tiny heads out,
Sharp against the dead grass.

Lovely crocuses :) I wonder when my bulbs will bloom? It's still snowing here :(

Patience-the ground needs to warm up a bit before they put out the buds. That's better late than too early and killed by frost. You must be waiting to see the results of the hard work you put in on your flower beds last year.

My crocuses were mini-crocuses, each no bigger than an inch or so across. They did make for spectacular close-ups, nevertheless.
