And the iPhone did make it so easy, with it's built-in panoramic mode. No fussing with photoediting software needed!

Not sure where these are from (the fields look like wheat ?) but reminds me of the countryside I routinely see in the Midwest, and ignore. I used to take pictures of barns and farmhouses, but even that has palled. I think one can get used to beauty, if one sees it all the time :(

The fields are wheat, indeed. I bent down and picked it to see what it was. These aren't the vast swathes you see in the Midwest- those can get boring without anything to break the monotony. Here these are bounded by paths, lines of trees and suburban housing beyond. At the end of one path, there were yummy blackberries on a bush, which I surreptitiously picked and popped into my mouth after a glance around to see noone was watching. That was part of the fun of the trip, the 'stealing' of the occasional blackberry or plum from hedges that the locals didn't seem to care about.
